Monthly Group Protective Pathways Sessions

Session Description

This monthly group session is part of the Protective Pathways suite of programs and supports parents, grandparents and carers to better understand how child sexual abuse occurs, how grooming operates, and how adults can reduce risk by creating safer everyday environments for children.

The session focuses on adult responsibility and prevention, rather than child instruction, and provides clear, practical, evidence-informed guidance on recognising risk, strengthening protection, and creating safer spaces at home, online, and in the community.

Session Suitability

This session is suitable for parents and all types of carers who:

  • want to strengthen their understanding of grooming and risk
  • are seeking evidence-informed guidance on prevention
  • want practical strategies for creating safer everyday environments
  • prefer learning in a group setting rather than an individual session

This session provides general child-safety education and guidance. It does not offer individualised advice, legal advice, or case-specific recommendations. All strategies discussed are general in nature and do not take into account every family’s unique circumstances.
